Oscar-Zero: Notes from a Nuclear Tourist

At this moment, 90 US Air Force officers, entrusted to launch a devastating nuclear attack if they receive the orders, are on alert across a network of missile sites. These sites of atomic weaponry, located deep below the earth in some of the least populated parts of the country, are mostly out of mind. Like the dark corners of our souls, we don’t want to go there. 

An account of my trip in November 2016 to Oscar-Zero in north eastern North Dakota to recreate a missile launch facility as a life size 3D installation.
